The bayou streams beneath my studio in Cleveland, Mississippi, winding through the northern Mississippi Delta, shape my daily practice as an artist. This landscape is alive—rising and falling, expanding and contracting with the rhythms of nature. Some days, the water mirrors the sky and lush vegetation; on others, it ripples under the cadence of rain.

I immerse myself in observing, contemplating, and painting this ever-changing environment, transforming fleeting impressions into lasting visual narratives. Through this meditative process, I reconnect with the present moment, releasing future anxieties and embracing the immediacy of place and time.

My paintings become interpretations of the Mississippi Delta’s dynamic ecosystem, serving as both mental and physical records of my engagement with nature. Each work reflects a dialogue between landscape painting, environmental observation, and contemporary art, offering viewers a window into transformation, memory, and belonging.
